Much better than hard-anodized shocks, Traxxas Hard-Coat shocks decrease piston/housing friction, which in fact really helps to stop the temperature build-up which will cause inconsistent performance. The layer actually permeates the T-6 aluminum, that makes it numerous times more resistant to place on and corrosion.
