This aluminium motor mount is an aftermarket replacement made for TRAXXAS E-REVO VXL chassis. It pairs a 6061 T6 alloy body with enlarged heat-sink fins that help conduct heat away from the motor while maintaining a rigid mounting surface under load. The design focuses on motor hold and passive cooling rather than active thermal control.

In use the mount secures the motor to the chassis and the finned surface increases exposed area to assist heat dispersion. The alloy construction resists deformation better than many stamped mounts, helping reduce motor misalignment and preserving correct gear mesh during prolonged or high-torque operation.

Yes, ER2018 is produced to the standard TRAXXAS E-REVO VXL motor bolt pattern and is intended as a direct swap with commonly available hex tools.
Fins improve passive dissipation and can lower motor case temperatures during long runs, but for high-output setups active cooling is still recommended.
Check fastener tightness and keep fin surfaces free of debris to ensure consistent heat transfer and secure mounting.
The mount aligns with factory points, but always inspect and adjust pinion and spur mesh after installation to maintain correct engagement.
