Hold-down plate for HOSS 4X4 VXL battery security

This aftermarket hold-down replaces the stock retainer and is intended to keep battery packs secure on TRAXXAS HOSS 4X4 VXL models. The plate and stabilizer are manufactured from aluminium 6061 T6 to cut unwanted pack movement and to provide additional surface area for passive cooling.

The package includes a main hold-down plate and a stabilizer that fit above the battery, along with a stainless steel M3 top threaded screw for mounting. A patterned face on the aluminium plate increases airflow contact with the pack, while the stabilizer reduces lateral shifting during jumps and aggressive cornering. This item is focused on retention and thermal help rather than changing electrical or chassis configurations.

Fitting is straightforward for those comfortable with RC maintenance: remove the factory strap or clip, set the aluminium hold-down over the battery, align to the factory mounting point and secure using the supplied M3 screw.
