Lowered aluminium shock set for Rustler VXL

This 44-piece kit replaces the standard dampers with shorter aluminium-bodied shocks to reduce centre of gravity and refine stability on TRAXXAS models. The set includes front and rear shocks, assorted springs and collars, plus the screws and washers required to tune ride height with no chassis modification.

Adjust preload via the top spring retainer screw or swap the supplied springs to change spring rate. The kit offers two wire thicknesses: 2.6mm gold springs for a firmer response and 2.2mm silver springs for a softer setup, helping to tune handling for faster runs on smooth surfaces. Assembled lengths are listed as front 75mm and rear 80mm, which lower the body and can allow clearance down to about 6mm in certain configurations.

Installing on Slash bodies may require attention to tyre clearance due to the lower body position; the included aluminium collars allow you to space the body posts away from the shock mounts. Try collar combinations to set the desired shock angle and clearance: a taller setup might use front 8mm and rear 12mm, while the lowest stance can use front 12mm and rear 16mm as initial guides.
