Hard-anodised wheel and road tyre upgrade

This 12pc wheel and tyre kit is an aftermarket option for the TRAXXAS TRX4, combining 1.9" hard-anodised 6061-T6 aluminium BBS-style rims with low-profile road tyres and 9mm alloy hexes to widen track and change handling characteristics. The six-spoke BBS design pairs with lower-profile rubber to provide firmer surface feedback and smoother rolling on packed or paved course segments.

The 9mm alloy hex replaces standard hexes to move the wheel hub outboard, increasing track width without altering suspension pick-up points. That increased track can improve cornering stability and reduce body roll during onroad-style runs, while the tyre profile gives a quicker steering response than deep-tread crawler tyres. All items are for scale RC use and designed to meet TRX4 mounting specifications.

Fitting advice: the set contains a range of small fasteners required to mount wheel, hex and tyre assemblies; hand-tighten supplied screws and use thread-lock where needed for metal-to-metal fixings. After fitting, check bearings, axle clearance and pinion engagement to prevent binding. Refer to manuals 8269, 8270 and 8271 for parts layout and installation guidance.
