Steering horn and link upgrade for TRX4

This aluminium servo horn and steering link kit is an aftermarket upgrade for TRAXXAS TRX4 Trail Crawler enthusiasts, supplied as model TRX416025. The 8 piece set replaces the factory plastic horn and linkage to reduce flex and improve steering response when using a straight steering arm configuration.

The steering link incorporates a counter-clockwise threaded tie rod so length adjustments can be made without rotating ball end seating, simplifying toe and steering bias tuning. The centre-to-centre distance between ball ends is 77.5mm, useful as a setup reference.

Contents and comments: the kit includes stainless steel mounting screws and a lock nut, and the primary components are aluminium which reduces wear relative to plastic parts. It is aimed at scale crawling builds on the TRX4 platform that need a firmer and steadier steering feel.

Fitting and tuning notes: fit the aluminium horn in place of the plastic original using the supplied fasteners, align the servo spline before final tightening, and use the CCW tie rod to make measured length changes while testing steering centring and travel. This direct replacement helps eliminate plastic arm flex for more consistent low speed control.
