This V8 LS3 inspired engine radiator is supplied for TRAXXAS TRX-4 Defender scale builds, featuring an aluminium main body, stainless steel parts and a black, heat-resistant ABS cover and exhaust. A high-speed fan with a welded temperature sensor provides automatic cooling for the motor area.
Mounting and clearance: the unit measures 52mm x 63mm x 71mm and is designed for motor-area installation. Fitting to a TRX-4 Defender will usually require removal of the stock manifold and trimming the body-post crossbar to align the intake. For front-engine arrangements the radiator can be attached to the original damper mount and fender but may need a flat-style front damper mount such as TRX4028 or an equivalent to clear both manifolds.
Sensor and fan data: the welded sensor switches the fan on at about 35C and off near 25C with a +/-5C tolerance, while the fan supplies roughly 3.25 CFM airflow (+/-10%). The welded sensor and fan form a single plug-and-fit switching unit.
A period-correct scale radiator that adds active cooling to TRX-4 Defender models; ensure you plan manifold and damper mount changes for correct clearance at installation.
