Aluminium gearbox shields engineered for TRX4

This front and rear aluminium gearbox cover set is an aftermarket spare for the TRAXXAS TRX4 Trail Crawler, sold under model TRX4012A. The covers are built to protect gearbox shells and to increase rigidity around the differential area for better crawling reliability.

Fabricated from 6061-T6 aluminium, the covers aim to combine strength with a modest weight penalty and include an oil filler aperture for straightforward differential maintenance. Accurate machining helps ensure correct differential alignment for low-speed crawling and technical trail driving.

To install, remove the original plastic gearbox lids, position the aluminium covers and secure them with the included stainless steel cap head screws. This upgrade is intended to reinforce the gearbox and improve differential stability rather than change drivetrain gearing.
