This heavy brass outer portal drive housing is an upgrade item for the TRAXXAS TRX4 platform. Cast and finished in brass to increase rotating mass, each housing contributes around 50 grams per wheel, helping to improve wheel contact and control when crawling at low speeds across shallow obstacles.

The components are suitable for installation on either front or rear portals and are supplied as a matched set to retain axle balance. The additional weight aids wheel bite in ruts or soft terrain, helping the model to regain traction and return to a neutral stance more effectively.

Fitting hardware is included in the package, with 16 stainless steel flat head screws sized 2.5x8. These housings are intended as a bolt-on replacement for stock outer portal housings and do not require changes to the core driveline when fitted following standard TRX4 procedures.
