These stainless open shims are 5.2x8.0x1.3 and designed to help fine-tune clearance and stack height on TRX4 parts that use the TRX4010/OPSH standard. The open profile allows you to add or remove a shim without fully dismantling the driveline, making quick trials straightforward.
Apply the shim to reduce minor axial slack, set accurate bearing preload, or adjust axle and gearbox stacks for better trail behaviour. The steel shim keeps its thickness and flatness under load more reliably than soft spacers, which helps preserve tuned settings.
Fitting is direct: clean all mating surfaces, slip the shim into place, confirm there is adequate rotational clearance, and then cycle the drivetrain slowly to ensure no binding. Keep shims paired and note positions during setup changes.
