Adjustable aluminium C hub set for improved steering control

This adjustable front C hub kit is intended for TRAXXAS TRX4 Trail Crawler scale rigs. It replaces the original plastic C-hubs and associated hardware with aluminum 6061 T6 components, Delrin collars, and stainless steel king pins to give a firmer steering pivot and consistent damper mounting. The kit is supplied as a 28 piece set for scale trail applications.

The primary tuning effect is on steering geometry and damper mounting position. Replacing the C-hub assembly and altering the number of Delrin collars at each damper mount changes the damper angle and effective ride height. The mount is moved slightly outward from the stock vertical damper line, which alters lateral support and enables fine height adjustment through collar stacking.

Installation guidance based on the included hardware list:

• Assemble the C-hubs and knuckle using the supplied king pins and stainless screws, keep contact areas clean and lightly lubricated where metal meets metal.
• When fitting the modified tie rod-to-damper connection, use round head screws 3x18 (2 pcs) to secure the tie rods as noted in the kit instructions.
• Damper mounting screw length depends on collar count: no collar use 3x14, one collar use 3x16, two collars use 3x18, three collars use 3x20; verify that threads engage properly and do not over-torque.
• Check steering link geometry after installation to avoid binding and to ensure full travel with your servo and steering stops.
