L-shape piggy back rear dampers made for Traxxas UDR

This aluminium rear L-shape piggy back damper set is intended for the TRAXXAS UNLIMITED DESERT RACER, supplied as a four-piece kit for rear scale suspension use. The set pairs two coil-on spring dampers with two internal dampers to lower internal drag and absorb impacts for more controlled running over uneven ground.

Components are machined from 6061 T6 aluminium and feature sealed bodies to limit oil loss, using a higher concentration suspension oil for steadier damping. Shafts are increased from 3.5mm to 5mm to add stiffness, and coil spring wire thickness is increased from 1.8mm to 2.0mm while still allowing the use of original springs when a softer rate is desired. The L-shape piggy back reservoir extends oil travel to smooth damping through long strokes.

Fit and tuning guidance: check mid-point distances before fitting; the spring damper mid-point is 139mm and the internal damper mid-point is 160mm. Verify shock tower and mount clearance, start with stock springs if unsure, and tune oil viscosity and preload to refine rear-end balance for your preferred surface.
