This aftermarket shock shaft pair is a direct replacement for 1/5 scale TRAXXAS X-MAXX dampers, intended for regular damper maintenance and simple setup changes. The shafts are supplied as a matched pair for either front or rear shock positions and are sold as RC service components.

When you rebuild dampers the shaft provides the guiding surface for the piston and seal stack; replacing worn shafts will lower seal wear and help bring back consistent damping. Inspect the damper bore and seals when fitting new shafts and replace any worn seals or bushings to ensure correct damping function.

Fitting steps: remove the damper from the chassis, drain the oil and disassemble per your shock manual. Thread the shaft through the piston and seal pack, make sure the shaft end profile matches your shock cap and piston retainer, then reassemble with the oil weight and travel settings appropriate to your setup.
