This upgrade set swaps the original plastic wheel hex and stock CVDs on TRAXXAS X-MAXX models for hardened steel CVD joints and anodized aluminum wheel hexes for RC use only. The hardened steel CVDs increase resistance to wear relative to plastic components, while the anodized aluminum hexes provide better corrosion and scratch protection at the hub. Stainless steel fasteners are supplied to promote reliable mounting under demanding conditions.

The kit is suitable for vehicles running 6S and 8S power systems and is intended as a durability and reliability upgrade rather than a tuning change to geometry. Installation replaces the stock assemblies using the supplied pins and screws to secure the new components.
