Corrosion-resistant tie rod and spring for X-MAXX

The GPM TXM024ASN is an aftermarket stainless steel servo tie rod assembly offered for TRAXXAS X-MAXX models, designed to work with the #2085x metal-gear servo family. The unit pairs a rust-resistant steel steering link with a heavier servo saver spring to limit play between servo output and the steering linkage, improving steering repeatability on large-scale monster trucks.

Installation note: this kit is specifically intended for use with metal-gear servos in the #2085x series and should not be used with standard plastic-gear servos. Always check servo horn compatibility and linkage geometry prior to final installation, and confirm that the screw lengths are correct for your servo horn mounting holes.

Tuning role: swap in this steel tie rod and stiffer spring when you need more direct servo feel and reliable centring during high-load use; the right servo combo will minimise slop and keep wheel toe stable under strain.

It can, provided the servo arm accepts the supplied 3x16 screws and the geometry allows proper linkage clearance. Verify fit before final tightening.
The heavier servo saver spring increases centring force, giving a firmer return and reducing wander, but it will also transmit more force back to the servo.
Regularly inspect the link ends and mounting screws for wear or loosening, lubricate pivot points if required, and check for any deformation after hard impacts.
