XO-1 Chassis Sub-plate in Aluminium

This aluminium sub-chassis is a purpose-made aftermarket plate for TRAXXAS XO-1 vehicles, keeping the original mounting pattern while replacing the standard plate with a 5mm aluminium unit to alter stiffness and weight distribution.

Supplied as a single pcs set, it is intended for hobbyists testing setup variations. The stiffer plate reduces flex under load and can shift braking and cornering balance without changing core electronics or drivetrain hardware.

Fitment notes: use the XO-1 mounting points and common button head screws for secure attachment. Apply standard hobby torque and double-check motor and suspension clearances after fitting to prevent rubbing at full travel.

Does installing this plate require changes to the drivetrain?

No drivetrain changes are normally necessary; the plate is designed to work with the existing motor, ESC and servo layout on XO-1 chassis.

Will this make the car more nervous on bumpy surfaces?

A stiffer chassis can transmit more harshness on rough surfaces, so you may need to soften damping or alter spring rates to retain good compliance.

Is additional corrosion protection required?

Aluminium resists rust, but if you operate in wet or coastal environments consider anodising or a protective finish for long term durability.
