Purpose-built as an aftermarket upgrade for the TRAXXAS XO-1, this kit focuses on cleaner steering response and lasting durability. The main servo horn is machined from 6061 T6 aluminium to reduce the risk of shear, while the adjustable tie rod and the supplied stainless steel hardware are chosen to lower wear at connection points. A fitted spring on the horn helps absorb shocks and protect the steering assembly.
The assembly replaces the original servo arm and steering link and offers two tie-rod mounting positions so you can adjust steering throw and centring bias without changing servo endpoints. The tie rod is threaded counter-clockwise to make turnbuckle adjustments straightforward.
Installation guidance: centre your servo then mount the horn to the servo spline, pick the tie-rod hole that delivers the steering ratio you want, and verify transmitter travel limits to prevent over-travel. Switching the tie-rod position lets you trade sharper turn-in for improved straight-line stability depending on surface and speed.
