The Beriev Be-6 "Madge" was a notable twin-engine flying boat in Soviet naval service during the 1950s, undertaking roles from long-range reconnaissance to torpedo attack and coastal patrol. Production totalled 123 aircraft and the type remained in service into the late 1960s.
The Trumpeter 1/72 kit recreates the Be-6's characteristic gull-wing outline and hull form with a high level of detail. Comprising over 240 parts, it features fine engraved panel lines and a well-defined cockpit. The completed model measures 355.6mm long with a 458.5mm wingspan, making it a commanding item for a display cabinet.
This model serves both as a display piece and as a study subject for Cold War maritime aviation. It sits well alongside other 1/72 military aircraft to form a coherent collection.
