The F-100C Super Sabre is recognised as the USAF's first fighter to sustain supersonic speed in level flight, first taking to the air on May 25, 1953 and reaching that performance by October of the same year. It entered operational service in September 1954 and North American produced 2,294 aircraft before ending production in 1959.
Trumpeter's 1/72 rendition of the F-100C offers precise scale modelling with a well laid out parts set. The kit is intended to reward careful construction and finishes as a striking exhibit in any military aviation collection.
Collectors and experienced modellers will appreciate the crisp detailing and the opportunity to apply advanced finishing techniques. The model presents a good balance between assembly challenge and visual payoff once completed.
