This 1/35 scale plastic model reproduces the German s.10cm K.18 heavy gun and is presented as a display-focused medium-artillery subject for experienced model builders and collectors.
Real-world background: The 15 cm s.F.H.18 howitzer evolved from earlier World War I designs such as the s.F.H.13, and the split-trail carriage approach was later applied to a 105 mm barrel to produce the 10 cm s.K.18 heavy gun. Both were used as principal medium artillery within German artillery battalions. Reference figures show the s.F.H.18 with a maximum range of about 13,370 meters and muzzle velocity near 520 m/s, while the s.K.18 is listed with a maximum range close to 19,000 meters and a muzzle velocity around 835 m/s.
Kit details and build notes: The kit blends injection-moulded plastic components with metal parts to enhance finish on key areas. The turned aluminium barrel and brass tube supply a metal bore and accurate external contour, reducing the need for filler at the muzzle. A metal tow chain and two thick rubber rims are included to add realism to the carriage and wheels. Decals show German army field-grey camouflage. The kit arrives unpainted and requires standard modelling adhesives, paints and tools for completion.
