The Trumpeter 1/350 USS The Sullivans DD-537 kit appeals to modellers who value period detail and scale fidelity. The ship commemorates the five Sullivan brothers lost on USS Juneau, was launched in 1943, and earned nine battle stars in World War II plus two during the Korean War.
During its service the destroyer acted as a plane guard, supported shore bombardments and took part in anti-kamikaze actions. The model reflects these operational roles and makes a fine exhibit for a naval collection. You can build it as either a waterline display or a full hull model depending on your preference.
Rendered at 1:350 the model measures 328 mm long and 34 mm wide, leaving room for weathering and detail work. The kit includes 174 plastic parts on 12 sprues plus separate lower and upper hull sections and decks. It omits metal, resin and photo-etch parts, and provides decals for both 1943 and 1945 markings.
