The USS ENGLAND DE-635 is a distinguished World War II destroyer escort named after Ensign John Charles England, a casualty of Pearl Harbor. During a concentrated period from May 19 to May 31, 1944, the vessel and her group sank six enemy submarines, a record reflected in this faithful Trumpeter kit.
Commissioned in December 1943, ENGLAND was one of the turbo-electric escorts active in the Pacific campaign. This model captures that service era and suits modellers interested in accurate WWII naval subjects.
The 1/350 scale kit includes parts for either a waterline or a full hull build and comes with one photo-etched piece to improve detail definition. The layout facilitates careful assembly of superstructure and deck equipment.
Whether displayed on a stand as a full hull or placed in a sea diorama using the waterline plate, the model offers historically accurate markings and fine detail for display among other WWII ship models.
