The Trumpeter 1/35 kit of the German NBFZ (Type I) presents a faithful representation of early German heavy tank experiments. The Neubaufahrzeug programme began in 1933 and the project was often referred to as "Grobtraktor" to mask its true intent under treaty constraints. This model reflects the multi-turret arrangements explored by Rheinmetall and Krupp.
The Neubaufahrzeug, literally "new construction vehicle", was an early attempt to field heavier armour and armament in the interwar period. The kit reproduces the vehicle's signature weapons layout, including the 75 mm KwK L/24 primary gun and the 37 mm KwK L/45 secondary piece.
Geared towards model builders comfortable with complex projects, the Trumpeter set includes more than 1170 parts plus two photo-etched elements and a metal gun barrel for realism. Multi-part slide molding ensures accurate hull and turret contours when built carefully.
