This 1/700 scale plastic model kit depicts the Royal Navy battlecruiser HMS Renown in her 1942 wartime configuration and is supplied as a multipart assembly intended for scale modelling construction and display.
The Renown class consisted of two British battlecruisers originally planned as modified Revenge-class battleships. They were lengthened and modified with three main turrets and reduced armor to shorten construction time, entering service in the era following Jutland. Both ships served during the two world wars; HMS Repulse was sunk by Japanese aircraft in December 1941, while HMS Renown survived and was scrapped in 1948.
The kit reproduces the 1942 fitting and comes as a multi-piece injection-moulded assembly. The listed data records an overall model length of 346 mm, beam of 44.6 mm, and a total of 288 plastic parts. Box dimensions match the packaged components and the kit is aimed at builders concentrating on deck arrangement, superstructure lines, and wartime fittings.
A faithful, small-scale plastic assembly kit that captures HMS Renown's 1942 appearance for display or diorama projects.
