This 1:72 injection-moulded kit recreates the Swedish STRV.103 B turretless tank, offering a compact representation that emphasises the hull-mounted gun and low silhouette.
The Stridsvagn 103 (STRV.103) emerged in Sweden during the 1960s with a distinctive turretless layout and hydropneumatic suspension. The B variant added features such as a laser rangefinder, updated powertrain elements, external fuel jerrycans and illumination mortars. About three hundred B vehicles were produced before subsequent upgrades and the replacement by the C series in the mid-1980s. Its design intent was centred on crew protection and effective engagement at typical defensive ranges.
At this scale the kit focuses on external contours and surface detail. The set includes separate upper and lower hull parts and track pieces distributed across three sprues. Decals supply Swedish Army insignia. The modest parts count and straightforward subassemblies make it suitable for careful seam work and weathering to convey operational wear and the low profile.
This compact kit offers a faithful small-scale depiction of the STRV.103 B, well suited to display with measured weathering and detailing for collectors and modellers.
