Alloy centre joint for TT02 series

This alloy middle shaft joint is a drop-in aftermarket replacement for Tamiya TT02 chassis variants. It is intended to replace a worn central coupling and re-establish straight transmission alignment while cutting drivetrain play.

Installation mirrors common hobby procedures: separate the centre driveshaft on the TT02/TT02B, inspect the nearby bearings and splines for damage, orient the new joint correctly and fasten to typical torque settings. No specialist workshop equipment is needed.

Installed as part of routine maintenance or minor setup work, the joint focuses on consistent drivetrain behaviour rather than major performance gains.

Designed for standard TT02 and TT02B centre driveshaft arrangements used across many Tamiya kits.
It is wise to check bearings and splines and replace any worn items when fitting the joint to avoid transferring wear to the new part.
No special break-in is required; verify smooth rotation and correct alignment, then carry out routine checks after initial runs.
