Thermal management main gear cover for D-MAX

The SD-302DGC from Yokomo is an aluminium main gear cover designed specifically for the D-MAX platform. Supplied as standard with D-MAX Special models, the cover links to the motor mount so heat from the motor is conducted into the metal body, improving dissipation during extended driving sessions.

Installation is intended to be plug-and-play on D-MAX-ready chassis, the cover locates over the main gear and uses the chassis' existing mounting points so no additional modifications are generally necessary. By moderating motor temperature, the part can help smooth out power delivery changes caused by heat buildup during longer stints.

The cover also tidies the gearbox area aesthetically and is offered strictly as a model accessory for RC use only, not for any road vehicle purpose.
