This 1:700 scale plastic model represents the US Navy destroyer USS The Sullivans (DD-537), modelled as a display-focused Fletcher-class destroyer from the World War II era.

The actual USS The Sullivans was launched in April 1943 and commissioned in September 1943. Renamed in February 1943 to honour five brothers lost aboard the cruiser Juneau, she served in Pacific theatre roles including plane guard, shore bombardment and radar picket duties during Okinawa. After World War II she was decommissioned, later saw service in the Korean War and was finally retired in 1965, earning nine World War II battle stars and two Korean War stars.

As a scale kit, it reproduces the vessel's silhouette and deck arrangement at 1:700 scale. The box contains separate upper and lower hull elements with the option to build either a complete hull or a waterline version.
