This 1/24 Clic Loc model kit reproduces the Volkswagen Type 2 (T1) Samba for builders who prefer a glue-free assembly while maintaining faithful external proportions for display.
The Type 2 (T1) first appeared in March 1950 as a partner to the Beetle, featuring a rear-mounted, air-cooled four-cylinder engine and a rounded, boxy body. The Samba is identified by its 23-window glazing and optional fabric sunroof, offering passenger seating on a flat floor served by twin side doors. Production ran through the 1950s and 1960s, and the vehicle is recognised as a classic example of mid-century utilitarian design.
This kit recreates the Samba outline with parts moulded in matching two-tone colours to curtail painting needs. Chrome-look metal-plated components are supplied for exterior trim including emblems, window frames and wheel caps. Interior seating and simplified instrument details are modelled, and printed stickers provide window trim lines and dashboard markings. Construction uses the Clic Loc approach: remove parts from runners and snap into place without adhesive.
An accurate, no-glue kit concentrating on the Samba's silhouette and essential cabin features, ideal for collectors and modellers seeking a quick, tidy build.
