Tray for lowered battery positioning

This composite battery box provides a compact mounting solution that positions saddle packs lower in the chassis to reduce the overall center of gravity and enhance stability on track. The tray shape maintains clearance while keeping the battery securely held during rough running.

Both shorty and mid-size packs are supported; using a shorty lets you move the pack forward or rearward to tweak balance. Retention is handled by split retainers plus robust Velcro straps, and built-in cooling cutouts assist with battery temperature management on long runs.

The product notes compatibility with XB8E 2026 and narrow lower battery arrangements. If your chassis differs, verify mounting points and dimensions for correct fitment.
You can use shorty or mid-size saddle packs. Shorty packs permit fore/aft adjustment to change the car's balance without major setup changes.
By lowering the battery mass, the tray reduces the roll moment and helps keep the contact patches more consistent, which tends to stabilise handling through corners and over bumps.
Periodically inspect the Velcro and split retainers for wear, clean the cooling cutouts of debris, and check the composite surface for any impact damage after heavy use.
