Chassis Control with the XRAY X4 Glass Fiber Upper Deck

The XRAY 301079-K X4 Glass Fiber Upper Deck provides a measured increase in chassis flex to help improve traction and steering on low- and medium-grip circuits. Fabricated from 1.5mm glass fiber, it gives a reliable compromise between durability and flexibility.

Adaptive Flex for Varied Grip Levels

The deck's design encourages predictable chassis movement as grip changes, allowing the tyres to maintain better contact during cornering phases. This produces steadier steering input and improved mid-corner behaviour.

Two Mounting Modes to Match Your Setup

Pick the mount that suits your driving and track conditions:

  • Soft Setting: Fit only the rear centre screw to allow extra flex and stronger steering reaction. This helps turn-in and bite but can make the car feel less planted under heavy throttle.
  • Stiff Setting: Use both rear screws to stiffen the deck, reducing mid-corner steering and rotation. This yields enhanced stability and easier throttle control.
Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some XRAY items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
Try the soft setting if you need more turn-in and front bite on slippery tracks; switch to the stiff setting when you need steadier behaviour on higher grip layouts.
Ensure screw threads are clean and avoid overtightening. Inspect the plate after impacts and keep the surface free of oils for consistent flex.
The deck is intended for the X4 layout and integrates with common X4 mounting points. Verify fitment on your chassis before finalising setup.
Changing flex alters load transfer and contact patch behaviour, which can influence tyre wear patterns. Monitor tyres after setup changes to find the best balance.
