Refine Your Setup with XRAY 305309 53mm ECS BB Drive Shafts

The XRAY 305309 ECS BB drive shafts are crafted to lower drag in the driveline and sharpen overall handling for 1/10 scale touring cars. Built from Hudy Spring Steel, the 53mm length is targeted at drivers seeking reliable stability on open tracks.

Why the ECS BB Version Feels Different

The ECS BB format uses small bearings to minimise sliding contact between the driveshaft and outdrive, cutting friction compared to blade-type shafts. The result is smoother transitions during quick direction changes and improved mid-corner and on-power response.

Ideal Circuit Types for These Shafts

These 53mm shafts suit flowing circuits where steady mid-corner balance and confident throttle application out of the corner are important. They offer better steering through the corner while slightly softening the very initial turn-in.

Maintenance Advice to Maximise Lifespan

Assembly mirrors standard ECS procedures, with the added step of applying Hudy Joint Grease (106213) between the small bearings and the outdrives. Regular greasing and inspections will help maintain consistent performance and part life.

Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
They are designed for 1/10 scale touring cars that use 53mm drive shafts. Check your model specifications to confirm compatibility.
Re-grease after heavy sessions or when you notice increased play or noise. Hudy Joint Grease (106213) between the small bearings and outdrives is recommended.
On flowing tracks they can improve mid-corner speed and exit stability, which may translate into more consistent lap times depending on setup and driving style.
