These narrow pinions are cut on a precision gear machine to ensure tight tolerances and excellent concentricity. That accuracy leads to smoother engagement and consistent behaviour under load.

Coating and Longevity

After machining, the gears are chamfered, run-in and then treated with a hardcoat finish to increase wear resistance. The coating helps the pinion retain its original profile even after extended use, extending service life.
