Precision chassis work: XRAY 341102 Swiss 5mm plate

The XRAY 341102 aluminum chassis is machined from 5mm Swiss 7075 T6 alloy to deliver a lightweight yet robust platform. It is intended to enhance steering response and handling balance in RX Series classic cars.

Front geometry for sharper turn-in

The front area has been widened to reduce twitch and provide a more composed entry into corners. Machined grooves give multiple engine mounting options to suit standard or small 2-speed transmissions. The new front middle shaft mount together with dual servo saver holes makes Ackermann tuning straightforward.

Controlled mass removal and reinforcement points

Material removal is focused on low stress zones to retain stiffness where required. Several right-side mounting holes allow installation of weights to fine tune balance and the center of gravity (CG). The design also accepts graphite inserts for those seeking increased chassis rigidity.

Smooth underface and chamfered perimeters

Countersunk screw locations maintain a flush underside and chamfered perimeters reduce the chance of catching on obstacles. Minor longitudinal bending caused by machining may be present but does not affect handling on track.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some XRAY items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
It is compatible with many vintage RX Series layouts, but check the mounting hole pattern against your chassis before purchase to ensure fitment.
Graphite inserts increase torsional rigidity, which can sharpen steering and improve high speed stability when used appropriately.
Countersunk holes keep the underside level and do not reduce ground clearance; they mainly prevent screw heads from protruding and catching.
Use the servo saver hole options to increase or decrease Ackermann; more Ackermann helps tight tracks, while less suits faster, sweeping layouts.
Minor lengthwise bending can occur as a result of the milling process, but it is cosmetic and does not impair the chassis function or durability.
