Optimised Solid Axle Shaft for Competitive Drivetrains

The XRAY 345116 rear solid axle shaft reduces rotational mass to enhance balance and corner entry precision on RX8 2023 cars. It is purpose built for compatibility with CVD drive systems to maintain efficient power transfer.

Precision Heat Treated HUDY Spring Steel

Forged from HUDY Spring Steel and precision ground, the shaft undergoes heat treatment to stabilise hardness and dimensional accuracy. The black protective coating helps resist wear from debris and frequent running.

Recommended for Racers and Hobby Mechanics

Ideal for replacing worn components or tuning handling, this axle shaft supports repeatable setups and reliable performance during race weekends or practice sessions.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some XRAY items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
Inspect the spline engagement for play and rounded edges. Any noticeable looseness at the mating cups indicates replacement is needed to avoid driveline slop.
No formal break in is required, but running a few gentle sessions and rechecking alignment and bearing preload helps ensure optimal seating and performance.
Repainting is not recommended as it can alter tolerances and hide wear. If the finish is damaged, replacement is preferable to preserve dimensional accuracy.
By lowering rotating mass and maintaining tight tolerances, the shaft can reduce driveline vibration when installed correctly and can contribute to quieter operation under load.
