Front Protection Foam for GT Models

This XRAY 351220-L GT foam bumper is an RC-scale front bumper component cut from a specially developed closed-cell foam. The dense foam is intended to absorb impact energy at the nose while keeping additional weight low, protecting bodywork and nearby parts.

Fit and role: the unit fits into the front bumper zone of GT models as a sacrificial component to limit force transmission to the chassis and shell after impacts. It reduces the likelihood of panel damage without heavily influencing car balance.

Installation and tuning notes: position the foam in the front bumper area and ensure a snug seat at the mounting points. Verify clearance to the body shell and adjust body height or bumper offset to tune how much load the foam takes versus the chassis, then validate on a test run.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some XRAY items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
Measure the bumper mounting footprint and compare it to your chassis' front bumper area, check body shell clearance, and ensure steering and servo linkages are unobstructed.
Secure all mounting points, use even pressure when seating the foam, re-check fasteners after the first run, and avoid over-tightening which can compress the foam unevenly.
The foam absorbs and disperses a portion of impact energy, reducing peak loads transferred to the chassis; the remainder is still passed through, so it is not a substitute for structural protection.
Store the bumper away from heat and solvents, keep it clean, inspect for deformation before use, and replace it if material properties appear degraded.
