5.8mm Ball Joint Compatibility and Fit

The XRAY 352470-G composite ball joints arrive as a set of eight molded components made from a graphite composite engineered to combine low mass with usable toughness. Each joint accepts 5.8mm pivot balls and is designed to preserve smooth articulation without restricting suspension travel on compatible linkages.

Suitable for competition-style and club-level RC cars, the graphite composite construction reduces unsprung weight while holding dimensional stability under load. The molded finish targets consistent seating so that ball engagement remains dependable over many cycles, supporting predictable suspension behaviour when you change setups.

These joints are intended as direct-fit replacements: swap them into locations that use 5.8mm pivot balls and refit the linkage as originally configured. Remember to view their lighter mass as one variable alongside springs, dampers, and geometry when assessing handling changes.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some XRAY items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
They are designed as direct-fit components for linkages that accept 5.8mm pivot balls; however, check that the surrounding geometry and fasteners match your original parts to ensure correct clearance.
Inspect them regularly depending on usage: after several race sessions examine seating surfaces and joint play, replacing components showing excessive wear to maintain predictable handling.
No special tooling is required beyond standard RC maintenance tools. Press the pivot ball into the joint and assemble the linkage as per the original configuration.
They do not change the underlying geometry; alignment settings remain as before. Any perceived handling changes come from reduced unsprung mass and joint compliance rather than a change in alignment.
