Clean mating surfaces and inspect screw threads. The plate fits usual XB mounting points, so basic preparation is normally sufficient for a correct installation.

Will this change my car handling drastically?

You should notice reduced flex in the radio area and crisper inputs, but overall handling changes depend on your full setup and suspension tuning.

Can I use the OEM mounting screws?

OEM screws are usually fine; ensure correct torque and that holes align cleanly to avoid stress on the aluminium plate.
