Top-End Shock Bodies for XB8 Chassis

The XRAY 358124 Aluminium Front Shock Body set brings a precision component to the XB8 front suspension. Made from 7075 T6 aluminium, the bodies are engineered for strength without excess weight. The hard-coated titanium finish protects the surface and gives a neat appearance under close inspection.

Accurate Dimensions for Consistent Damping

The design features a big-bore outer diameter of 18.5mm and an inner diameter of 16.0mm to support a broad range of piston and oil setups. The fine external thread provides incremental spring preload control to tune handling. German CNC production methods deliver reliable repeatability across the set.

Protective Hardcoat for Extended Life

XRAY's in-house hardcoating adds a titanium-like protective layer that reduces wear from seal contact and debris. The finish helps components remain serviceable for longer between rebuilds, making them a practical choice for serious hobbyists.

They are intended for XRAY XB8 front shock assemblies. Many older XB8 variants share the same shock dimensions, but confirm measurements before fitting to avoid interference.
Start with your current setup and make small adjustments to the collar on the fine thread. Test on a familiar track and change preload in small steps until handling feels balanced.
Minor surface marks can be cleaned and smoothed, but deep scratches may require replacement. Regular cleaning and careful handling reduce the risk of damage.
The big-bore dimensions accommodate a range of oils and pistons. Choose oil viscosity based on track conditions and desired rate of rebound and compression.
