Rear Shock Assembly for XRAY XB808

The XRAY 358203 XB808 Rear Shock Absorber Set provides a direct-service rear shock option for owners tuning their XB808. Supplied as a pair of big-bore rear shocks with soft rubber boots, the kit focuses on dependable damping and component protection.

Solid Construction and Serviceability

These shocks incorporate oversized 18.5mm O.D. externally threaded bodies and an adjustable collar for fine downstop adjustment. Hardcoated aluminium shock bodies and a one-piece aluminium cap give a robust platform, while the 15.3mm I.D. composite pistons deliver smooth, low-friction movement for consistent response.

Seals, Shafts and Performance Consistency

Wider shock membranes and improved material selection help preserve steady damping throughout a race. The lower assembly is shaped to limit oil leakage while allowing free shaft travel, utilising silicone compound O-rings and composite shims for reliable sealing. The 3.5mm thick high-tensile steel shafts resist bending under heavy loads and large jumps.

Compatibility Notes

The XRAY 358203 set replaces older XB808 rear shocks directly. To ensure correct mounting geometry and optimal performance when fitting these absorbers, consider using the XB9 shock tower on the 808 chassis.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some XRAY items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
They are designed for the XB808 form and fit, but with the correct shock tower and mount alignment they can be adapted to compatible XRAY platforms.
Composite pistons reduce internal friction and are less prone to wear from dust, helping maintain consistent damping and longer service intervals compared with some metal pistons.
Standard RC shock tools and a basic set of spanners are sufficient; use care when setting collars and bleeding seals to avoid trapping air in the shock body.
