Precision Rear Shocks for XB8'16

The XRAY 358206 Rear Shock Absorbers with Boots Set is specified for the XB8'16 chassis and provides the components to build two large-diameter rear shocks complete with telescopic rubber boots to shield moving parts.

Enhanced Body Length and Adjustable Collar

With a 2mm longer body compared to previous versions, these shocks offer better control on rough layouts. The 18.5mm OD aluminium bodies are threaded externally and use an adjustable collar for fast spring preload adjustments, while titanium-coloured hardcoating on the caps improves durability and appearance.

Membrane and Lower Assembly Details

The damping membrane is made from a specialist rubber that keeps damping consistent during extended running. The lower assembly allows free rod travel and helps minimise oil seepage using premium silicone O-rings and composite shims.

Precision Steel Shafts and Service Notes

The 3.5mm shock shafts are produced from high-tensile steel and precision ground for smooth operation and long service life under race conditions. Please note springs are not included, allowing you to fit spring rates that best suit your track and setup.

Can I use aftermarket springs with these shocks?

Yes, the kit is supplied without springs so you can fit aftermarket springs of the correct length and rate to tune ride height and handling.

How resilient are the shock shafts?

Shafts are 3.5mm high-tensile steel and finely ground for strength and low friction, designed to cope with jumps and heavy impacts typical in competition.

What maintenance is recommended?

Regularly clean the boots and inspect O-rings and shims for wear. Replace seals if you notice oil seepage and refresh shock oil periodically for consistent damping.
