High-strength clutch bell for classic race builds

The XRAY 358526 16T Clutch Bell is manufactured from HUDY Gear Steel to provide a hard-wearing part for vintage model applications. Precision finishing helps keep gear meshing accurate and consistent under stress.

Oversized bearings for improved endurance

Equipped with oversized 5x12x4mm ball-bearings, this clutch bell uses bearings with thicker walls and larger 2.0mm balls to handle increased loads and extend service life compared with thinner-walled alternatives.

Hardening process and grease for lasting service

A dedicated heat treatment sequence enhances fatigue resistance, while the bearings are greased with a high-temperature compound to maintain reliability during prolonged high-rpm running.

Range of tooth counts for setup tuning

Available in 15T, 16T, 17T, and 18T, these clutch bells let you select the best ratio for track layout, motor choice, and desired acceleration or top speed balance.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some XRAY items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
The bell is designed for 5x12x4mm bearings; while a 5x10mm can sometimes be fitted with the right spacer, using the specified oversize bearings is recommended for full performance.
Replace bearings if you detect roughness, play or noise after events. Regular inspection after every few races helps prevent unexpected failures.
Use a high-temperature, low-viscosity racing grease designed for ball-bearings to maintain spin without excessive drag at high revs.
Select lower tooth counts for better acceleration and higher counts for improved top speed; match choice to track length and motor torque characteristics.
Ensure correct pinion mesh, use proper bearings and spacers, and avoid overly aggressive gearing for your motor to reduce stress on the bell and bearings.
