Ensure the filter body sits flat against the mounting point, hose clips are snug, and there is no twisting in the tubing when the engine is running at full throttle.
It will work with many older nitro cars provided you have the correct hose internal diameter and space for an inline unit. Measure before fitting to be sure.
Regular inspection after sessions is recommended; replace the element or the whole unit if contamination or flow reduction is observed.
Basic hand tools and standard fuel clips are usually sufficient. A pair of pliers and a spare clamp or two will help secure the hoses.
