High Precision XRAY 361101 Aluminium Base

Forged from 2.0mm Swiss 7075 T6 and CNC machined, the XRAY 361101 chassis delivers a stiff, reliable foundation for the Vintage XB Series. The countersunk fastener pattern and fine finish improve serviceability and help keep components tucked in on bumpy layouts.

Integrated Flex Design

The chassis follows XRAY's Multi-Flex philosophy by marrying an aluminium backbone to a composite chassis plate, producing useful longitudinal compliance while preserving lateral stiffness for stable cornering.

Wear Characteristics and Inspection

7075 T6 is chosen for resilience, but the hardcoating step can leave minor cracking around holes and cutouts; these are expected and do not reduce functionality. Small bends across the chassis length from machining are also normal and will not typically affect setup.

Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some XRAY items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.

Will the chassis change how my car handles in wet or dusty conditions?

Metal chassis give slightly different flex and weight distribution; you may notice crisper steering in dry conditions and should check electronics sealing for wet or dusty running.

Can I polish out the hardcoat marks?

Light surface polishing is possible, but avoid aggressive sanding that could remove the hardcoat or change mounting surfaces. Cosmetic marks are normal and performance neutral.

Are special fasteners required for fitment?

Standard Vintage XB Series hardware will typically fit. Use recommended torque and threadlocker where needed to prevent loosening on rough tracks.

If I get a bent section, should I replace the chassis?

Minor bends from machining can often be corrected carefully. Significant deformation from impacts should be assessed and the chassis replaced if mounting geometry is compromised.
