The Arrowmax AM-RX8-348518 18T pinion is an aftermarket motor pinion designed to be compatible with the XRAY RX8 chassis. It is produced from 7075-T6 aluminium and treated with a hard coating to deliver a low weight gear with enhanced surface wear resistance where RX8-compatible pinions are appropriate.

Changing the pinion alters the final drive ratio and lets you tune motor load without replacing the spur gear. The hard-coated 7075 alloy provides reduced rotating mass while aiming to resist surface wear, and the tooth profile is intended to mate cleanly with RX8 spur gears when the mesh is correctly set.
