The Hobbywing XRotor Micro 40A ESC, model number 30901015, provides compact, high-precision speed control for 130-300mm drones. It uses a 48MHz 32-bit ARM CPU alongside imported MOSFETs and ceramic capacitors and runs BLHeli_32 firmware to support modern ESC features.
Hardware-based PWM yields a refined throttle curve and quieter motors. The damped light braking mode allows for active motor deceleration and tidy transitions between throttle states.
With BLHeli_32 you can perform passthrough programming using a flight controller running Cleanflight or Betaflight to update firmware and adjust settings across multiple ESCs. The controller also has temperature, low-voltage and current safeguards to protect electronics.
An adjustable LED helps with orientation and status checks, and the beacon mode can sound a motor beep when throttle is at zero for a preset interval to assist model recovery.
