Made to suit the Tamiya XV-01 chassis, this kit (JR-XV103-BK) upgrades the standard plastic steering components to anodized aluminium parts that accept ball bearings instead of plain pivots.
By replacing those pivot points with bearings the system reduces free play and gives a steadier steering response, assisting in tighter servo centring and finer steering geometry adjustments on tarmac setups.
When fitting: double-check steering upright and rack compatibility, ensure bearings are correctly seated and spin without binding, and check that the servo horn and linkages have adequate clearance. Re-verify screw torque after initial running sessions.
