Aluminium Rear Shock Tower Upgrade for YD-2 EXII

The Yokomo Y2-018AR2A Aluminium Rear Shock Tower upgrades the rear suspension options on the YD-2 EXII. Precision-drilled mounting bosses expand your setup choices and let you tune camber and roll behaviour more accurately. The extra holes accept both short and standard upper arms to suit a range of track conditions.

Expanded Mounting Layout for Setup Flexibility

This design increases upper arm mounting positions to give more geometry permutations. Fit the outer hole with short arms to shorten the effective arm and sharpen camber change for tighter courses. Fit the inner hole with standard arms to lengthen the geometry for more gradual camber shifts on faster tracks.

Reliable Aluminium Build for Track Durability

Made from durable aluminium, the shock tower resists wear and preserves suspension geometry under load, making it a dependable part for regular racing and practice. Its solid construction supports consistent handling lap after lap.

Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Yokomo items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. The aluminium tower replaces the stock rear tower; pairing with aftermarket carbon parts depends on your overall layout, so check mounting alignment before committing to a full swap.
The tower itself does not directly change ride height but changing arm length or shock positions in conjunction with the tower will influence ride height and roll centre.
Use protective washers under screws and avoid overtightening; fitting nylon washers between aluminium and steel fasteners can reduce scratching and galvanic contact.
