Reduce rotational friction in hubs and steering

This Yokomo D-148 bearing set is intended as a direct upgrade for assembled Drift Racer drift kits, allowing replacement of worn bushings or bearings in wheel hubs and steering support locations. Bearings reduce rotational friction and contribute to improved slide control during practice.

Fitment is a routine model-building job: remove the wheel and steering retainers, press the matching bearings into the hub and support bores, and reassemble with the original screws. If needed, apply a small amount of light grease designed for metal bearings to control axial play, and avoid over-torquing to prevent added bearing resistance.

Note on handling: installing full metal bearings like the D-148 cuts down on wheel slop and refines steering return, which helps with consistent angle management under throttle. Bearings alter rolling characteristics and driver feedback, not motor output or suspension geometry.

What the pack contains

  • 8 pcs 6x10mm bearings for front and rear hubs
  • 4 pcs 4x8mm bearings for steering support
Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Yokomo items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
Measure the hub bore and steering shaft diameters and test-fit a single bearing by hand; it should press in with steady force and sit flush without wobble before you reassemble everything.
Yes, metal bearings typically require periodic inspection and cleaning in harsher conditions. Keep an eye on smoothness and replace bearings showing corrosion, noise, or increased play.
