The BD-010RW rear double-joint universal drive from Yokomo was created for 1/10 scale RC touring cars and has a competition background dating to 2012. The additional joint between the dogbone and axle smooths torque transfer during suspension movement, which helps prevent a loss of cornering speed when the axle articulates.
Operationally, the double-joint CVD enhances drive continuity through suspension travel and reduces driveline lash at extreme angles. The part is designed with axle inner clearance in mind, so a thin-type inner bearing is required; fit the supplied bearing or the specified BB-105T2 as a replacement if necessary.
Fitting is in line with standard CVD swaps on Yokomo BD-series rear hubs: check bearing thickness before assembly, ensure correct dogbone seating, and verify unobstructed hub rotation through full suspension travel prior to final torque. Model tuners select this component to stabilise rear traction and preserve corner exit performance over uneven surfaces.
Install the BD-010RW when aiming for steadier rear drivability on BD7/BD5 family cars, and confirm the thin inner axle bearing (included or BB-105T2) before completing the build.
